Amazing how good a letter can be if you get after him for it!!!

First things first to answer your question about the list of my companions and it is up to date on almost everything, because last week Elder Linam went to a new sector and i got a new companion who's name is Elder Aliaga he is from Trujillo Peru. i wish you still would have sent me the absentee ballot in hopes that i would still be able to do it. i hope the bond gets passed it seems like people do not study on the importance of bonds these days so i am pretty sure you will have a difficult time getting your votes and the votes that you do get as a yes. It sounds like you are keeping yourself pretty busy but i still wish you would have run for the school board. tell abbie congratulations on her play it seems like she is having fun doing those plays i hope she keeps with it. how is cierra in band does she like it, is she still practicing and keeping with it. it sounds like USU needs to start playing better as well i do not like getting all of these score updates with them losing. i  am loving my mission i have not had any horrible experiences, i did get robbed once, since then i haven't really carried around my camera because i have not wanted to get that  stolen. here taking pictures of markets, streets, landscape is hard because the second you turn a corner you could get robbed. in Cuenca i did not feel that and neither in Machala, but here in Guayaquil when you watch people get robbed from inside of their taxi, you have a little bit more caution, i will start trying to take more fotos i am sorry that i have not taken more. my writing has gotten worse because it does feel like i email you guys the same stuff every week and i do not want it to all just be the same letters that you are putting up.
this week though was a good week. we have two people right now that are preparing for their baptizm, this saturday is michael figuaroa, he is 10 years old. it is hard to teach him because he is always inbetween his moms house and his dads house, but he has finally come to church enough times that he will have his baptism saturday at 500. the other person we are preparing for baptism is karina cejas. she is 12 years old she lives in a family of members, but she has a few difficulties, but it appears as she is doing her best to keep on the track of baptism. so i you all could pray for these people that would be great.
i love the mission i love the people i have been reading at the end of helaman lately and i love nephis love for the people. that he keeps teaching them and helping them when they even acuse him of doing things that he does not do. most people in the situations of the profets in these times would just give up becuase of how wicked the people are because it just does not seem posible but these profets put their confidence in God and in the end the have the success they need and bring many people unto Christ.

I love you all have a great week and put your confidence in God!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love

Elder Jesse William McCammon

PS...Oh man he still hasn't recieved his Christmas packages!!!  He said they are at the office, but his Zone leaders haven't been there since Christmas so he hasn't gotten them.  How RUDE!!!

More Changes

i just had changes agian today. i am still in the the ward 25 de julio, but Elder Linam left and now my companion is Elder Aliaga, he is also from Peru. but we are having more success. We now have three people preparing for baptism. Michael Figaroa, Mirea Torres, and Karina Cely. please pray for them.  It was a good week. i have not really seen anything new. we did have and amazing church day though. we contacted all week inveted so many people to church and we thought that we would only have one or two and we had seven come. when you work hard the lord blesses. i love you all and i do not have too much more time to be on the computer, but i love you all and i will write more in depth next week i apologize. i space writing the general letter first.

Not exactly why he chooses the pictures he sends sometimes!!!  I'd rather see his face!!!

New Week, New Area

So i started off my new week in a new ward with a whole lot of contacting. when i got there i found that there were legitimately nothing so we have contacting everyday this week. i also needed to do 6 interviews, so there was a day and a half i was not in the sector as well. so this week was a lot of hard work that did not have too many results but i am hoping and praying that we will have a much better week this week. i believe with the hard work and faith we just put into this past week it will pay off.
But this week more than that has been good. its is next to my last sector so the way the area looks is almost the same so i am not lost like i have been in other sectors.
This week in my studies i have been studying more about leadership and how a leader needs to act and be. and what i liked most of all. is that a leader is not there to be served, but to serve others. to always make sure that those around him are having success and him the same. that everyone is happy. and to give support to all so they can have more confidence in him. that is how Christ had many followers, because he served all to the extent that he gave his life for us.
I love and miss everyone and hope you have a great week.

Love, Jesse

Some pictures that Sister Carmona (Her Elder was in Jesse's apartment before the last transfer) sent to me forwarded from a member in the Floresta Ward.

Guayaquil...Here just to watch it burn!!

Happy new years to everybody. this week was a great week i got to see Guayaquil burn a whole bunch of giant paper mache piƱata things and the whole city looked like it was on fire. we did end up having the baptism of Nuirka this week and Keyla is going to get baptized this Saturday, but i will not be able to be there because i recently just had changes to a different sector and was made a District Leader. My new comp is Elder Linam, he is from Utah. The thing is i just got changed to the sector right next to mine. (so I am assuming they are in the same apartment) and i am in the same stake and the same church building and everything. Our new years and everything were the same as Christmas and we got to chill in the house once it hit 6 at night so that was chill. The ward I was in just got two new missionary's again as well. One was Elder Arcos who was my zone leader in Cuenca. But my week other than that has not been too eventful just contacting and looking for more people.

I asked him about being at the Temple and he said it was their Christmas present to go.  They got to see the new film, he said "the new video was very cool, but I thought it was over dramatic!"  I asked him about Sunday's there, because I always tell him about my classes and wondered if they were learning the same stuff, he said they pick up all their investigators and are to Church at 8, they go to their meetings and take them home. Nice this is what I get when I ask for details!!!

He did send bunches of pictures, he had a video but he couldn't upload it all before he had to leave so I don't know if I'll get it.  He uploads stuff to dropbox, it works most of the time, but it wasn't there and he said he was going to try so I am assuming there wasn't time.

New Years Activities, I would imagine the night time ones are from his apartment since they had to be in by 6pm.
 That is one awesome Pinata!!

Its a selfie...I miss this face!!!
 His Baptism this week!

I am assuming this is his new companion.
